Born on June 8, 1983, in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, Ranjeet Yadav hails from a background rooted in the heartland of India. Educated entirely in Barabanki, he navigated his formative years under the guidance of his father, the late Khushi Ram Yadav, who was a respected contractor in the region.[2]
Career[edit | edit source]
Ranjeet Yadav initiated his career in journalism during his student years. In 2001, he began writing for a Hindi newspaper published in Shahjahanpur. His articles were later featured in prominent Hindi magazines from Delhi and Lucknow.
In 2003, Ranjeet moved to Gorakhpur, where he served as the Deputy Editor for a Hindi daily newspaper. Despite residing in Gorakhpur, he continued contributing to major Hindi magazines such as "Sharp Reporter" and "Manmeet" from Delhi and Azamgarh.
In 2011, Ranjeet founded "Patrakar News," a Hindi monthly magazine. In 2016, he expanded his journalistic venture with the launch of "Patrakar News," a Hindi weekly newspaper.[3]
In 2018, Ranjeet moved to Lucknow and founded "News of India," a news agency that specializes in providing news and articles in Hindi for various newspapers and magazines.[4]

Ranjeet Yadav is actively involved in social work and serves as the National President of the Journalist Association (India). The association works towards advocating for journalists' rights and welfare.

Ranjeet Yadav has been honored by the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Ram Naik, for his significant contributions to the field of journalism in 2016. He also received recognition from the Governor of West Bengal, Shri Keshari Nath Tripathi, in the same year.

During his tenure at "Patrakar News," Ranjeet Yadav spearheaded a campaign against unethical practices in paramedical colleges, drawing attention to the plight of children in need. In 2017, he conducted an impactful campaign against the inappropriate dressing of schoolgirls outside hotels near Gorakhpur Railway Station.
In 2019, Ranjeet played a crucial role in securing the release of Mahendra, a driver from Varanasi who was wrongfully arrested in Nepal on charges of an accident.[5]
