Omkar Prasad Baidya was born on December 3, 1984, in Agartala, Tripura, India. He completed his early education at Shishu Bihar Higher Secondary School in Agartala. Baidya pursued medicine, earning his MBBS in 2009 and MD in 2012 from the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal. He later completed his PhD under the mentorship of Prof. Sunita Tiwari at King George's Medical University, Lucknow, through the ICMR-sponsored Post MD-PhD program in 2019.
