Dr. Kaushik Dasgupta (born July 17, 1975) is an Indo-British-Australian film producer, cricketer, accountant, entrepreneur, and author. He is best known for his work in the film industry and his career in cricket.[1][2]

Dr. Dasgupta is a prominent film producer with notable works in Bollywood. His films include:

  • "Shimul Palash Katha" (2021) – This film won 8 international film festival awards, including accolades in New York, Toronto, Vancouver, and Melbourne.

Dr. Dasgupta is a former first-class cricketer who represented East Zone in Indian cricket during the 1999-2000 season. He played club cricket in England for Wavetree Cricket Club, Merseyside, Liverpool, UK, and is a Level 1 Coach under the England Cricket Board and an advanced cricket coach under Cricket Australia. Throughout his cricket career, he played alongside well-known Indian cricketers such as Saurav Ganguli, Rajat Bhatia, S. Badrinath, S. S. Das, and Balaji.[5][6]

Dr. Dasgupta is also an accomplished accountant and entrepreneur. He is a registered accountant under CPA Australia and the Tax Practitioners Board, Australia. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from EIMT, Switzerland, and a Master's degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Ballarat, Victoria (2007-2009). He also studied management at Liverpool University (2001-2002).[7]

Dr. Kaushik Dasgupta is a former first-class cricketer who represented East Zone in Indian cricket. He played in the Vizzy Trophy 1999/00, where East Zone faced North Zone in a three-day match held at Gymkhana Ground, Hyderabad from February 2 to 4, 2000.

Dr. Dasgupta is the owner of the award-winning Magik Masala chain of restaurants and HIND Australia. His eatery, Magik Masala, located in Adelaide, Australia, has won numerous awards from 2016 to 2020 and holds a 5-star rating under the Australian Health and Hospitality Council.

Dr. Dasgupta authored the story "The Cricket Coach" in "Agathokakalogical Aussie Summer Mosaic, Australia 2020," which depicts the friendship between India and Australia through the sport of cricket.

Dr. Dasgupta began his career in Australian federal immigration in 2008. He has held several key positions, including administrative head of Opal Inn Hotel, Coober Pedy SA (2010), and chief accountant of a leading transport company under the Australian Transport Department. After qualifying as an accountant, he became the director of his own accounting firm, Accounting South Australia, in 2011.
