Dr. Aruna Kalra (born June 18, 1973) is an Indian gynecologist and obstetric surgeon, currently serving as the Director and Senior Gynecologist Surgeon at CK Birla Hospital, Gurugram. She is also the Managing Director of Mums Clinic, Gurugram. She is known for her expertise in minimally invasive gynecological surgeries, including robotic and laparoscopic procedures, and her focus on managing high-risk pregnancies and promoting vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC).[1]

Dr. Kalra completed her MBBS from BRD Medical College, Gorakhpur and her MD in Gynecology and Obstetrics from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, where she was a gold medalist. She is also certified in ultrasonography and has received a fellowship in infertility, laparoscopic, and robotic surgeries.[2]

Dr. Kalra has over 28 years of experience in the field of gynecology and obstetrics. She began her career at Kasturba Hospital, followed by roles at Batra Hospital and Paras Hospital. Throughout her career, she has advocated for patient-centric obstetric care, focusing on normal vaginal deliveries, even for patients with a history of cesarean sections.
She regularly contributes to Indian publications like The Times of India, Hindustan Times, Economic Times, and India Today on topics related to women’s health and lifestyle.[3]

Dr. Kalra authored the book I Want a Boy, which addresses gender preference in society. She also achieved recognition for performing the most robotic-assisted surgeries within 90 days of receiving TR100 certification.[4][5][6]

Dr. Kalra is a frequent speaker and has participated in corporate awareness programs on women’s health and lifestyle at companies such as Ericsson, Honda, and Bank of America. She is also an educator for adolescent and teen girls at Pathways School, Heritage School, DPS School, and IIT Delhi. Additionally, she delivered a TEDx talk at TEDx Lakhotal on her book, I Want a Boy.[7][8]
