Anish Kanjilal was born and raised in Kolkata[4], formerly known as Calcutta. He attended St. Mary’s School for his early education from 1984 to 1994, where he actively participated in extr2acurricular activities such as quizzes, oratory, music, debates, creative writing, art, painting, and drama.[5]
In 1998, Kanjilal earned his college degree from Vidyasagar College before pursuing higher education at The Indira Gandhi National University.[6][7]
Throughout his career, Kanjilal has demonstrated a passion for literature, arts, and education. He currently serves as a director and senior lecturer at Educare The Institute (E.T.I) Kolkata, a prestigious academic institution that has guided over 15,000 students through various academic pathways, including I.C.S.E., I.S.C., C.B.S.E., Madhyamik, higher secondary, and graduation levels.[8][9][10]
Literary Career[edit | edit source]
Anish Kanjilal's literary journey began with the publication of his debut book, Fateless 13, in 2015. This collection of thirteen poems explores the various stages of life, from birth to death, capturing the complexities of human emotions and experiences. The book received critical acclaim for its poignant verses and profound insights into the human condition.[11][12]
In 2023, Kanjilal released 11 Oracles, a five-part series of poems published by White Falcon Publishing. This collection aims to awaken hope and inspire readers to seek truth and reality beyond ignorance. Through his words, Kanjilal explores the cyclical nature of existence and the enduring resilience of the human spirit.[13][14][15][16]
