Diplomat
A diplomat is a person who has been nominated by a state or an intergovernmental entity such as the United Nations or the European Union to represent that state or institution in diplomatic relations with one or more other nations or international organisations.
Diplomats' primary responsibilities include: representing and protecting the interests and nationals of the sending state; initiating and facilitating strategic agreements, treaties, and conventions; promoting information, trade and commerce, technology, and friendly relations; and promoting friendly relations with other countries. In international organisations (for example, the United Nations, which is the world's biggest diplomatic forum) and multinational corporations due to their management and negotiating abilities, seasoned diplomats of worldwide renown are often employed. Diplomats are members of different countries' foreign services and diplomatic corps, and they represent their countries in international affairs.
